Monthly Update...(long post)

I don't know why I have such a hard time updating my blog...but I do. We have done some fun things that last month. I took Garret, Bridger and Dakota to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was fun...but seriously not worth the money or the long drive. It is in a old grocery store, and you walk through the whole place in like 30 minutes. Anyways, we love the sting rays cause you could touch them and the sharks. We were also in love with the little alligators. Check out the pictures.

So I have heard alot about the Kangaroo Zoo from Jody and I've seen a few commercials about it too. I've been wanting to go check it out. So we finally did. We love it! Just wish it was a little closer. Davis County really sucks when it comes to fun stuff to do...Or I guess you could say Kaysville.

Emily hosted our fun ward Girls Night Out. We always have a blast and staying up way too late and laughing. We had a fun night playing wii fit. Thanks Kim for stepping up on the scale for us all. :) And thanks to Emily for hosting!
Conference weekend my sister-in-law's and mother-in-law had a fabulous Girls Night Out. We got a room at Comfort Inn in Layton and we went to dinner, shopped, laughed and crafted/scrapbooked. It was a blast!

Then for Spring Break we went 4-wheelin' with Jody, Dan & their kids, my mom and Hollie and our kids. It was seriously the funniest place ever. We went to Delle, it is on your way to Wendover. They have a small BMX track. The kids loved it. It was the first time officially riding their 4-wheeler on a road (not in the field). The jumps were really fun. I didn't realize how high you can go...WHOA! I was pretty sore after.

Emily invited us over for a fun day of coloring eggs and decorating an egg jigglar. I had a fun time chatting with Emily and getting to know her a little bit more. Thank you Emily!!

A Change for Kelsie

I have to share a picture of Kelsie's room. I changed her bedding and valance in her room. She has been wanting a pink room for ever. I wasn't about to repaint her room so I found a bedding set that was pink and would match her green walls. I think it turned out really cute.

I couldn't decide what picture looked best so here is three.

Bragging

I have to take a little minute to brag about my amazing Husband. He is seriously the most talented person ever. He can do just about anything, even when you think he might not really know how to do it, he some how does it. WOW!!
Well the last few months Aaron has been working on finishing a basement for a family. He did an awesome job! He did the painting, the wood work, the tile and the closet organizers. Oh and all the electrical, of course. And be sure to check out the fireplace. Yes! He built the mantel, first one he had ever done. I think it looks pretty good.
So if anyone knows of anyone that needs or wants to finish their basement I know who to call.

Snow and more Snow

So after coming home from these fun warm trips we come home to cold snow. YUCK! But here are a couple of pictures of the huge snowman Aaron and the kids made. He fell over a few hours later.

Cruise

On February 2 - 6 we were able to go on a Carnival Cruise to Catalina and Ensenada Mexico. We went with Aaron's two sisters, Michelle and Teresa; and their husbands Tim & Sam.
Catalina was our first stop. We rented a golf cart (Catalina Limo) and drove around the island site seeing. And then in the afternoon we went snorkeling. The water was very very cold. We saw a lot of fish.
Ensenada we had booked a kayaking tour. We were told by the guide to walk out of the Cruise ship dock gates and look for a blue van. We were so lost but eventually found were we were suppose to be. The van was actually black. The blue van was in the shop. When the tour guide, Sal, opened the van the door just about fell off. We were all thinking "What did we just get ourselves into?" And as we were driving he turned off on a dirt road and that kind of scared us. You just always hear story about Mexico and to never go off on a dirt road with anyone. Any way we were a little nervous. But one we got to where we were going it was beautiful. The water was so clear. Kayaking was really fun. We paddled out to a little island that had a bunch of sea lion and then headed back. After Kayaking we went back to town and went shopping.
While shopping Aaron and I saw a candy store. We thought it would be really cool to bring home some Mexican candy. While we were waiting in line to pay, another lady was purchasing a bunch of chocolate candies. She turned to us and said we should try one. Well Aaron got one, we split it. It was the weirdest tasting thing and it even started burning down our throat. Come to find out it has tequila in the middle. Hummm...Opps! :)
We had a lot of fun. Thank you Michelle for planning it and getting everything scheduled. Can't wait for another trip with you all.

Quick Visit to Hawaii

I know, I know, I know! It's been a really long time since I posted. What can I say?
Well Cherri and I made a really last minute and quick trip to Hawaii to visit my dad, January 23 - 26. He had been in the hospital for 4 weeks. He had a crazy infection in his leg.
We got to Maui at about 9:30 pm and ran to Walmart and bought an air mattress. We were surprising him, he had no idea we were coming. We got to his house a little after 10:30pm. We had this really great plan to call him and I was going to tell him about this really weird dream I had and tell him I started knocking on his door but it wouldn't answer and then I was going to know on his door. Well he wouldn't answer his stinkin' phone. So Cherri and I put our hoodies on and knocked on his door. When he came to the door we both said "Hey dude, whats up" in really low voices. He just looked at us really weird and said "Hi". He had no idea it was us until we started laughing.
Well thankfully he had an extra bedroom, cause we had no idea where we were going to stay. Like I said it was very last minute.
My dad has been working really hard on opening a car wash in Lahaina and while we were there he finally opened. We even got to wash a couple of cars. WAHOO!! We went to the beach a couple of time. I wasn't about to come home still white as can be. We got to see whales jumping out of the water too. It was awesome!
Last time Cherri visited Maui she didn't get to go to the beach much or see much. So I took her to Hana (see sleep almost the whole way). And I took her snorkeling, she was scared that she was going to be sweep away out to ocean. (She is the one that love scuba too). And then I had to take to Little Beach (the nude beach). Sorry if I have totally offended anyone, but seriously, if you have never seen a nude beach you would be going too. HAHAHA!
Well that's about it for Hawaii...I will work on updates for rest of our adventures for the past month.
